Begin Planning for Earth Day 2025 a Public Engagement Opportunity

The Environmental Sustainability Board plays an active role in the PEEC Earth Day celebrations by hosting a booth that typically highlights topics like recycling, food waste prevention, backyard composting, bear carts, and yard trimmings. With the adoption of the Climate Action Plan and a renewed focus on educating about greenhouse gas reduction and climate action, the Board should begin planning to include these crucial topics. The 2025 PEEC Earth Day Celebration is Saturday, April 26th.
Additionally, we continue our tradition of hosting a mini-Earth Day event for Los Alamos County employees during the lunch hour-an event that provides valuable information and engaging activities. The County event is typically held during the week of Earth Day, a tentative date is Tuesday April 22. Let's begin planning with these new objectives in mind.
