Acceptance of FY27 Library GO Bond Grant Awarded to the Incorporated County of Los Alamos by the New Mexico State Library, in the Amount Not to Exceed $57,529.61 and Approval of Budget Revision 2027-19
Recommended Action
I move that Council accept the FY27 Library GO Bond grant awarded to the Incorporated County of Los Alamos by the New Mexico State Library, in the amount not to exceed $57,529.61.
I, further, move that Council approve the Budget Revision 2027-19 as summarized on Attachment B and that the attachment be made part of the minutes of this meeting.
County Manager's Recommendation
The County Manager recommends that Council approve the request to accept the Library GO Bond Grant Awarded to the Incorporated County of Los Alamos by the New Mexico State Library and the Budget Revision 2027-19.
Body
The purpose of the Library GO Bond Grant is to provide supplemental funding administered by the New Mexico State Library to purchase essential resources and upgrade facilities across public, tribal, school, and academic libraries.
The County received the notification for the annual distribution of funds for the Library GO Bond Grant. This action will accurately reflect the amount the County received: $57,529.61. This item also allows Council to accept this grant.
Alternatives
The alternative to accepting the grant agreement is not having the necessary supplemental funds to maintain and better our local library.
Fiscal and Staff Impact/Planned Item
This grant does not require a match; therefore, there is not a fiscal impact. There is minimal staff impact to provide grant management.
