Annual Review of the Board of Public Utilities Procedural Rules
Recommended Action
Review the Procedural Rules and request any updates or changes to them that will be incorporated for adoption by the BPU at the regular meeting on August 20, 2025.
Body
The Board of Public Utilities (BPU) shall begin its annual review of the Procedural Rules (PR) in Attachment A. Last August 2024, Council updated Boards and Commissions' Orientation Manual and Procedural Rules (See Attachment B). Under BPU's PR paragraph 1.3 a statement was added to acknowledge the "This PR is specific to the Board of Public Utilities and if any differences exist with the broader Los Alamos County Orientation Manual and Procedural Rules for Members of Boards and Commissions (B&Cs), this PR has precedence over the B&Cs procedures and rules E."
Additionally, article 1.9 of the PR states that each year during the August BPU regular session, each board member will affirm that he/she has received, read, understands, and agrees to abide by the PR and the applicable documents referenced in its Appendix. Appendix A is the reaffirmation signature sheet, which will be routed for signature after the August 20, 2025 regular meeting. .
