Boards and Commission Liaisons and Council Working Groups Assignments

The appointment of Council Boards and Commission liaison and Working Group positions is the purview of the Chair of the County Council. Individual councilors have submitted their preferences for assignment and the Chair has developed the attached documents based upon these expressions of interest. The purpose of this item is informational and no action is required.
* B&C Liaisons - This document (Attachment A) indicates Councilor liaison assignments to County Boards and Commission. The list accounts for a division of duties and a rotation of assignments so that over time Councilors have an opportunity to become familiar with a broad range of County-appointed bodies. The history listed at the bottom of the document illustrates this rotation over time.
* Council Working Groups - There are a number of internal and external committees in which the County Council has representation. This document (Attachment B) lists those positions, including the previous assignments to each, and provides a brief description of each body's purpose.
Attachment C includes the current listing of Boards and Commission Chairs and Vice-Chairs.
