Board/Commission Appointment(s) - Los Alamos County Health Council
Recommended Action
I move that Council nominate and appoint Matthew McCleary to the Los Alamos County Health Council for a term beginning on May 5, 2026 and ending on May 5, 2028.
Body
Currently, there are three (3) vacancies on the Los Alamos Health Council. The purpose of this item is to fill one (1) of those vacancies and the applicant is:
Matthew McCleary [DTS].
Mr.McCleary was interviewed on April 14, 2026 and the interview panel recommends him for appointment.
Party affiliations are noted as [D] Democrat, [R] Republican, [I] Independent, [G] Green, [L] Libertarian, [DTS] Declined to State, and [N] Not Registered to Vote. The current Council members' and applicants' party affiliations have been verified with the Clerk's Office.
This fifteen (15) member board has two-year terms. It is currently composed as follows and as shown in Attachment A:

Appointing the nominees will not violate the County Charter restriction concerning political party majorities on Boards and Commissions.
