Sustainability Manager Updates

The ESB receives routine updates from the Sustainability Manager.
1. Launched the Sustainability Newsletter as an avenue to communicate with the community regarding environmental sustainability initiatives. The email performance increased from 36 subscribers to 48 subscribers.
2. EV Infrastructure
a. The County is working on deployment of six Level 2 - EV Chargers at Municipal Building to serve County fleet and the community. The ChargePoint amendment was approved by Board of Public Utilities on April 2 and County Council on April 8.
b. The County had the kick-off meeting for the Fleet Conversion Plan and Community-wide EV Charging Plan. County Council received an overview on March 25th and BPU on April 2nd. A hybrid Community Visioning Meeting is scheduled for the evening of May 12 and a community survey will follow.
3. Education and Outreach
a. Finalizing scope of work to provide climate action marketing and engagement services for the community. The Request for Proposals should be advertised the week of April 14th.
4. Energy Audits
a. Staff will begin developing scope of work for energy audit services. This is the time for the working group members to provide assistance. If you’re still interested in serving on this working group, please let me know.
5. Upcoming Events - Volunteers Needed
a. County Earth Day Event - April 22 from 11am to 1pm
b. PEEC Earth Day Festival - April 26 from 10am to 2pm
c. Community Visioning Meeting for Fleet Conversion Plan and Community-Wide EV Charging Plan - May 12 (evening)
d. DPU Water Festival - May 20 - 21st from 8am to 1pm
