Recommended Actio
I move that Council approve Agreement No. AGR24-06-A1 with Masek Rocky Mountain Golf Cars and Yamaha Motor Finance Corporation, USA to delay the delivery of the electric car fleet to no later than June 13, 2025.
County Manager's Recommendation
The County Manager recommends that Council approve this amendment.
Body
County Council approved the original agreement AGR24-06 on November 12, 2024. However, at the time, staff was working with an on-call contractor to complete schematics and propose pricing to outfit the golf storage area to accommodate the electric car fleet charging infrastructure. The Task Order No. 27 under Services Agreement No. AGR22-18a with All-Rite Construction to complete the project was approved by County Council on February 25, 2025 and is scheduled to be completed in the Summer of 2025. Los Alamos County cannot receive nor use the electric cars until the upgrades to the clubhouse car storage is complete. Therefore, this amendment delays the delivery of the electric cars to the week of June 9, 2025, but no later than June 13, 2025. Additionally, the Term of the lease of the equipment will begin on the delivery date of the equipment.
Attachment C shows estimated cost comparisons between the electric and gas-powered golf carts as information only.
Alternatives
County Council can reject this amendment.
Fiscal and Staff Impact/Planned Item
There is no fiscal impact, only a delay in delivery of the electric golf cars.
