Recommended Action
I move that Council approve the agreement no. AGR26-858 between the incorporated County of Los Alamos and Axon Enterprise, Inc. for the purchase of public safety video systems, related devices, software, and services in an amount not to exceed $6,826,839.59, for a ten-year term.
County Manager's Recommendation
The County Manager recommends that Council approve the Agreement No. AGR26-858 Axon Enterprise, Inc. for the purchase of public safety video systems and related services.
Body
Los Alamos County Police Department utilizes integrated video and digital evidence systems to support law enforcement operations, evidence collection, records retention, and public accountability. Axon Enterprise, Inc. is a nationally recognized provider of public safety technology solutions used by law enforcement agencies across the United States.

Approval of this item will allow Los Alamos County to enter into a long-term agreement with Axon Enterprise, Inc. to provide body-worn cameras, in-vehicle cameras, interview room and evidence room cameras, automated license plate recognition (ALPR) technology, and associated software, cloud services, and support. These systems support law enforcement transparency, evidence management, officer safety, and compliance with applicable state and federal requirements.

The Agreement is in the final state of review by both parties. The vendor's price quote is expiring on January 29, 2026 requiring Council action on January 27, 2026. If Council approves the recommended action, then the County Manager will have the authorization to execute the final agreement in a form acceptable to the County Attorney before the expiration of the quote.
