Board/Commission Appointment - Environmental Sustainability Board

Recommended Action

I nominate Carly Blair and Laural Hardin to fill one vacancy on the Environmental Sustainability Board and move that Council appoint one nominee to the vacant position as follows:

 

By roll call vote, Councilors vote for one nominee and the one with the highest vote total of four or more be appointed to fill a partial term beginning on February 18, 2026 and ending on July 31, 2026. 

Body

The purpose of this item is to fill one vacancy on the Environmental Sustainability Board.

 

This vacancy represents an unexpired term vacated by Kella Romero.

 

The applicants for this position are Carly Blair [D] and Laural Hardin [D].

 

Party affiliations are noted as [D] Democrat, [R] Republican, [I] Independent, [G] Green, [L] Libertarian, [DTS] Declined to State, and [N] Not Registered to Vote.

 

This seven member board has 2-year terms beginning August 1 and ending July 31. It is currently composed as follows:

Appointing either of the nominees will not violate the County Charter restriction concerning political party majorities on Boards and Commissions.
