Title
Presentation of the Los Alamos County Fleet Conversion Plan and Community-Wide EV Charging Plan
Body
The Los Alamos County Fleet Conversion Plan and Community-Wide EV Charging Plan is a Los Alamos County Council initiative led by Stantec in collaboration with County staff. The plan will develop a comprehensive strategy for transitioning the County's fleet to zero-emission vehicles and expanding community-wide EV charging infrastructure. It aims to support the County's Climate Action Plan goals of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, with intermediate goals to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 30% by 2030 and 80% by 2040.

Goals
1. Reduce the GHG emissions from the County fleet:?Achieve significant reductions in greenhouse gas emissions from the County's fleet and community-wide transportation.
2. Expand EV charging infrastructure:?Create a robust and equitable network of EV charging stations to encourage public adoption of zero-emission vehicles to achieve New Mexico Clean Car Rule targets.
3. Engage County partners:?Involve the community and key partners in the planning process to develop consensus on implementation strategies and foster long-term ownership over the program.

Key Outputs
1. Fleet and Facilities Existing Conditions Report: An analysis detailing the current County fleet, vehicle replacement policies, and requirements for the transition to zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs) including space constraints, site capacity, and charger locations.

2. Fleet Conversion Plan: a comprehensive report with time-bound, realistic strategies to guide the transition to a sustainable fleet. The Fleet Conversion Plan includes the following components:
o Vehicle Performance and Power Modeling: Identifies which vehicles can be transitioned and evaluates suitable ZEV equivalents based on fuel economy, energy requirements, and range.
o Vehicle Replacement Schedule: Builds out transition timeline, useful life of vehicles, availability of ZEV equivalents,...
