Proclamation Designating October 5th through the 9th, 2026, as "Customer Service Week in Los Alamos County." (Accepted by Joann Gentry, Deputy Utilities Manager - Finance and Administration)

WHEREAS, Customer Service Week is an international celebration during the first full week in October to honor the people who represent their organizations and help those who are needing assistance; and
WHEREAS, for more than 20 years the Customer Care Center team has often been the first point of assistance for County residents because of their easy-to-access phone line, e-mail address, and walk-in services located in the lobby of the Municipal Building; and
WHEREAS, thousands of Los Alamos County residents, commuters, and local businesses owners access the services offered by the Los Alamos County government; and
WHEREAS, the Customer Care Center team and the other 700+ Los Alamos County employees routinely demonstrate their commitment to our citizens by providing excellent customer service day-in and day-out.
NOW, THEREFORE, on behalf of the Council of the Incorporated County of Los Alamos, I do hereby designate October 5th through the 9th, 2026 as
"CUSTOMER SERVICE WEEK IN LOS ALAMOS"
and we extend our gratitude to our Customer Care team and all Los Alamos County employees for their hard work and dedication in serving the citizens of our community.
IN ADDITION, we invite every citizen to stop by the Municipal Building lobby to participate in the annual Customer Service Fair on October 7th starting at 10:00 a.m.
