Background
In December 2025, the Los Alamos County Community Development Department kicked off the Comprehensive Plan Update with its consulting team, czb, LLC. The Comprehensive Plan Update is intended to help guide future growth, development, and community priorities in Los Alamos County.
Over the past 10 months, meetings and engagement activities have been held with County department staff, a Technical Advisory Committee, stakeholders, a Steering Committee, and one-on-one focus groups. Public input gathered through surveys, workshops, presentations, and feedback on the draft plan has helped inform the plan and proposed revisions.
