Presentation of the 2024 National Community Survey (NCS) Results by the National Research Center

Representatives with the National Research Center (Polco) will share the results from the third National Community Survey TM conducted in Los Alamos County between August 2 and September 6, 2024 (the first two surveys were conducted in 2020 and 2022) to a statistically significant sample. The survey gauges resident perceptions of the livability in Los Alamos County, explicitly focusing on quality and citizen importance of ten central facets of the community: Economy, Mobility, Community Design, Utilities, Safety, Natural Environment, Parks And Recreation, Health and Wellness, Education, Arts and Culture and Inclusivity and Engagement. The margin of error around any reported percentage is five percent for all respondents. Survey results were weighted so that the demographic profile of respondents is representative of the demographic profile of adults in Los Alamos County.
Additionally, the 2024 survey results will inform the County's strategic planning, budgeting, and decision-making to better meet the community's needs and expectations.
