Briefing to County Council on the Greenhouse Gas Inventory and Climate Action Plan Process Overview

Cascadia Consulting Group (Cascadia), in partnership with Los Alamos County, will be introducing the Climate Action Plan (CAP) planning process, the Outreach Plan, and the greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories methodologies and data collection process. Cascadia aims to provide Los Alamos County with a comprehensive GHG study to inform the CAP strategies and actions for a more sustainable future. This presentation will introduce the Council and community to what a CAP is, how the CAP will be developed, and the timeline of development. Cascadia will then present the proposed Outreach Plan that will guide the project team through CAP engagement, including who, how, and when they plan to engage the public and stakeholder groups. Lastly, Cascadia will introduce the GHG inventories they’ll be completing as part of the comprehensive GHG study, including review of inventory methodologies, the data collection process, and a brief introduction to the GHG emissions forecasting model. Cascadia will be partnering with EcoDataLab and AMM Consulting to provide the CAP and GHG analyses.
