Recommended Action
I nominate Nina Epperson to fill one of two vacant positions on the Community Development Advisory Board and move that Council fill one vacancy by appointing Nina Epperson to a term that begins August 15, 2020 and ends on August 14, 2023.
Body
The purpose of this item is to fill one of two vacancies on the Community Development Advisory Board.
The board began the recruitment process and advertised over the last two months. Only one application was received. The interview committee found Ms. Epperson
to be well qualified and decided to put forth her name for appointment.
The applicant for this position is: Nina Epperson [I].
Party affiliations are noted as [D] Democrat, [R] Republican, [I] Independent, [G] Green, [L] Libertarian, [DTS] Declined to State, and [N] Not Registered to Vote.
This seven-member board has three-year terms and is currently composed as shown on Attachment A.
Appointing Nina Epperson will not violate the County Charter restriction concerning political party majorities on Boards and Commissions.
