Recommended Action
I move that Council approve Contract for General Services, Agreement No. AGR 21-11 with PAC-8, Inc. in the Amount of $332,927.36 for the Purpose of cablecasting of County Council meetings and Videotaping Training and Production Services.
County Manager's Recommendation
The County Manager recommends that Council approve this Contract for General Services as requested
Body
If approved by Council, the County will enter into a long-term relationship with PAC-8 for continued cablecasting of County Council meetings, along with general support for the local community cable television station. PAC-8 provides many beneficial services to the community, including video training classes for youth, filming community events or producing television shows specifically about Los Alamos. As shown in Attachment A, the contract will provide for uninterrupted services to continue with PAC-8 for up to seven years. Previously, contracts were renewed on an annual basis. The new contract is more efficient for Procurement, the Contract Manager (the County’s Public Information Officer) and PAC-8’s staff.
Alternatives
The Council could choose not to approve the contract and services with PAC-8, including cablecasting Council Meetings on Tuesday evenings, would end after Nov. 10, 2020
Fiscal and Staff Impact/Planned Item
The budget for FY21 was planned for PAC-8 and is within the Contractual Services line item of the PIO’s budget.
