Presentation of 2021 State Legislative Priorities

In preparation for the upcoming Legislative Session, a presentation regarding the County’s 2021 Legislative Priorities will be provided to the attending State Legislators. A copy of the County’s 2021 Legislative Priorities is included as Attachment A. It is anticipated that a representative of the Los Alamos Public Schools will present the school district’s priorities following the County’s presentation.
Alternatives
Council has approved the attached priorities in a prior Council meeting, yet it could choose to alter/not present these priorities. Doing so may not allow the legislators to know of Los Alamos County interests as they participate in the upcoming session.
Fiscal and Staff Impact/Planned Item
Impacts will vary dependent upon what legislation is passed during the 2021 session, and could include capital outlay for the requested project - in which case there would be a specific fiscal and staff impact related to the project’s implementation.
