Recommended Action
I move that the APP board recommended to the Los Alamos County Council that the Jeff Segler painting “Boys of Pajarito Plateau” be purchased and installed in the main office stairwell of Fuller Lodge. Budget for “Boys of Pajarito” by artist Jeff Segler, which includes purchase price, contingencies, such as lighting and plaque, not to exceed $70,000.

Chair Mackey has been looking for appropriate spots to put the Jeff Segler painting, per 2020 County Council guidance. This is a large painting, approximately 36” tall. Chair Mackey has not been able to find an appropriate spot, and believes the painting should reside in Fuller Lodge and would like to propose it be placed in the stairwell leading up to the Fuller Lodge offices, where “FH-1365” by Francis Harlow currently resides. The purchase price of the painting is $68,500. In addition, estimated transportation and installation costs will be $1,500. Total cost is not to exceed $70,000.
