Los Alamos County Council authorized $2.4 million in FY22 to purchase bear resistant bear carts and dumpsters to protect wildlife and residents. These will be deployed community-wide, to every business and residence. The ESB will review and discuss the
Public Information and Involvement Plan for the bear resistant cart and dumpster deployment. The ESB may choose to further refine the PIIP.
