Recommended Motion
I move that Council approve the services agreement AGR22-20 in the Amount of $231,560.00 plus Applicable Gross Receipts Tax, for a seven year term, to Rentokil North America, Inc., dba New Mexico Pest Control for monthly pest control services within County owned properties.
County Manager's Recommendation
The County Manager recommends that Council approve the motion as presented.
Body
On August 22, 2021, the County advertised a formal competitive solicitation for pest control services through Request for Proposals No. 22-20. Four proposals were received on September 7, 2021, and the evaluation committee is recommending award to New Mexico Pest Control for pest control services.
New Mexico Pest Control will perform monthly pest control services at County owned properties in Los Alamos and White Rock. Services shall include preventative insect and rodent control along with treatments for pest infestations.
Upon Council approval, the Notice of Award will be sent to the contractor on November 10, 2021, and work could begin November 17, 2021.
Alternatives
Council could choose to not award the Bid and postpone or cancel pest control services for the County.
Fiscal and Staff Impact/Planned Item
Potential pest infestation within County buildings leading to unhealthy work environments and increased cost for infestation treatments as opposed to preventative treatments.
