Recommended Action
I move that Council approve the vacation of easement at Lot 1, Quemazon Communities Phase 1
County Manager’s Recommendation
The County Manager recommends that Council approve as presented.
Body
The easement being vacated is no longer used or needed. A natural gas line which was in the easement has been replaced in a new location. The customer desires to vacate the easement to eliminate the encumbrance on the property. The County Code grants Council the authority to sell, lease, exchange or otherwise transfer county-owned real property and interests in real property (Sec. 14-31 (4)).
Alternatives
If the vacation of easement is not approved the encumbrance on the property will remain.
