Recommended Action
I nominate Stephanie Haaser, Dustin Cummins, William Reed, Jacquelyn Connolly, and Ufemia Bernal Rios, to fill the two (2) vacancies on the Art in Public Places Board and move that Council appoint two (2) to the vacant positions as follows:

By roll call vote, Councilors vote for two (2) nominees and the one (1) with the highest vote total of four (4) or more be appointed to a term beginning on March 25, 2021 and ending on March 24, 2023 and the one (1) with the next highest vote total of four (4) or more be appointed to a term beginning on March 25, 2022 and ending on March 24, 2024.
Body
The purpose of this item is to fill two vacancies on the Art in Public Places Board (APPB).

The vacancies represent an expired term vacated by Theophan Mackey, and an unexpired term vacated by Else Tennessen which ends on March 24, 2023.

The applicants for this position are:

Jacquelyn Connolly [D]
Ufemia Bernal Rios [D]

The interview panel consisted of the following: APPB Chair, Jennifer Baker; Council Liaison, David Izraelevitz; and Staff Liaison, Katherine Hudspeth. Interviews were conducted between November 29, 2021 and December 10, 2021. The interview panel recommends appointment of the following applicants: Jacquelyn Connolly [D] and Stephanie Haaser [I]. The recommendation of the interview panel is included as Attachment G.

Party affiliations are noted as [D] Democrat, [R] Republican, [I] Independent, [G] Green, [L] Libertarian, [DTS] Declined to State, and [N] Not Registered to Vote.

This five (5) member board has two (2)-year staggered terms beginning either March 25, 2021, or March 25, 2022 and ending either March 24, 2023 or March 24, 2024. It is currently composed as follows:
