County Manager's Recommendation

The County Manager recommends that Council approve the budget revision as requested.

Body

Budget Revision 2022-27 recognizes the Outdoor Recreation Trail Grant funding for the amount of $19,300 from the State of New Mexico Economic Development Department. The Budget Revision also grants spending authority for the amount of $19,300 to the Community Services Department. The agreement was fully executed on November 19, 2021 and will be utilized for trail improvements near the North Mesa Horse Stables. The Budget Revision also recognizes the Recycling and Illegal Dumping (RAID) grant for the amount of $91,912.50 for the purchase and installation of a cardboard bale, and allows spending authority for the Environmental Services Division for the same amount. The grantor is the New Mexico Environment Department Solid Waste Bureau.

Alternatives

Council could choose not to approve the Budget Revision. The impact would be that the related projects or programs may not occur or existing operations may be negatively impacted.

Fiscal and Staff Impact/Planned Item

Fiscal and staff impact is described in the attachment. Net fiscal impact to General Fund and the Environmental Services is zero to both funds.
