LANL’s Pollution Prevention and Sustainability Programs present to LARES Task Force how LANL is planning to handle the recent executive order guidance and timeline, specifically Net-Zero Carbon and Vulnerability Assessment and Resilience Planning (VARP).

 

Sarah Gould is an Environmental Professional at Los Alamos National Laboratory. She works in the Pollution Prevention Program within the Environmental Protection and Compliance Division. Sarah is the project manager for LANL's site-wide climate change vulnerability assessment and resilience plan, leading a group of 30+ experts from across the Laboratory to identify, prepare for, and meet the challenges posed to LANL by climate change. She has a degree in Biological Engineering and is a licensed Environmental Engineer in Training (EIT).

 

Genna Waldvogel is the team leader of the Sustainability Program within the Utilities and Infrastructure Division at LANL. She works with a team of six to implement EO/DOE regulations, including the site sustainability plan, zero-carbon planning, energy/water efficiency and project planning for the division. She has a BS in Environmental Science from the University of Vermont and a MS in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
