Title

Results for the Los Alamos County Code Enforcement Survey 2021

Body

Code Enforcement Survey for Los Alamos County

As a component of the Chapter 18 Code Update process, a survey on code enforcement and property maintenance compliance activities within Los Alamos County was conducted from November 22, 2021 to December 27, 2021 by the survey company Polco.

As Polco had already previously worked the County on other community-based surveys and due to their experience working with other communities across the county on the issue of property maintenance and nuisance code compliance, staff contracted with them directly under a separate contract from the primary contractor (Dekkar, Perich, Sabatini) for the Chapter 18 Code Update effort.

The purpose of this survey was to inform the Chapter 18 Code Update process by showcasing opinions and values of County residents with regards to property maintenance and nuisance code topics such as weeds, trash and debris and inoperable vehicles on private property within the County. Polco will provide an overview of the results of the survey to Council and answer questions associated with their approach and the findings.
