Title

“Donation of Art from Parks Fields"

Body

Mr. Fields reached out to the APP Staff Liaison in June of 2022, and would like to make the following donation to the Los Alamos County Art Collection. The art has several pieces, the art is a bench with a little girl sitting on it with her dog reading a Walt Disney book, with also a chihuahua, and a raven. Mr. Parks had these pieces made, not with any expectation, to commemorate his wife who was a life-long resident of Los Alamos, and love for animals. The bench with girl is bronze and weighs ~220 pounds and it cost over $6,400.00 dollars. With the addition of the dog and raven, the total estimated valuation is a little over $9,000 dollars. There are several spots identified for the piece to be located: Ashley Pond, Library, Senior Center, or Urban Park.

Mr. Fields has offered for the board to see the piece in person.
