Title

North Mesa Shared-Use Gymnasium - Project Planning/Pre-Design Phase Options for Consideration and Recommendation to County Council

Recommended Action

I move that the Board recommend Site Option ______ (A, B, or C) to County Council for development of the Shared-Use Gymnasium at the North Mesa Middle School Campus.

I further move that the Board recommend County Council consider the _________ (small, medium, or large) facility program size, associated budget needs and advance the project to the design phase.

Body

At the June 9, 2022 Parks and Recreation Board meeting, the Project Team presented an update on the North Mesa Shared-Use Gymnasium project. A public survey was in process at that time and due to be complete June 24, 2022. The Board moved to wait for results from the public survey prior to making recommendations for this project.

The Project Team wishes to provide the Parks and Recreation Board (PRB) with the results from the public survey and seeks input and recommendations from the Board on the options for site location, and Facility program size with associated costs and budget needs.

A copy of the information presented at the June 9, 2022 PRB meeting is shown as Attachments A and B. The results of the public survey are included as Attachment C. A copy of the Staff Report from June 9, 2022 containing background information of the project is included as Attachment D.
