I move that Council adopt the updated 2023 Los Alamos Federal Priorities.

Body
Annually, the Los Alamos County Council adopts a "Federal Agenda." The document is used as a guide for our intergovernmental efforts at the federal level. The agenda is developed through a Council committee that meets to produce the message and recommended County priority topics.
Attachment A is the version of the agenda that was developed in anticipation of Congressional meetings in February 2023.
This February, members of the Federal Legislative Committee are scheduled to meet with the Congressional delegation and DOE/NNSA staff. They are also slated to meet with Federal Agencies in relation to requests for funding. Therefore, consideration of this agenda will be an important guidebook for the conversations that occur during those meetings.
For this version , the committee and staff are recommending the following priorities, which are further elaborated within Attachment A:
-- Legislative Support for Appropriations
-- Support for Additional Land Conveyance
-- Federal Agency funding for certain projects
As reference, Attachment B shows the 2022 Los Alamos Federal Priorities.
