Title

Approval of Amendment No 4  to the TA-50 Waterline Relocation (Waterline Easement No. 9)

Recommended Action

I move that Council approve Amendment No 4  to the TA-50 Waterline Relocation (Waterline Easement No. 9)

Utilities Manager's Recommendation

The Utilities Manager recommends that Council approve the motion as presented.

Body

The necessary easements shall be provided for both existing and proposed utilities in a manner acceptable to the County Engineer and Utilities Manager (Sec. 16-153 (e)).

This Amendment No. 4 is to modify the Waterline Easement #9 to reflect the new location for the TA-50 16” Water Transmission line that currently passes through the parking area. The 16” Water Transmission line will be realigned along the Pajarito Right-of-Way (ROW) for approximately 2,100 linear feet (0.4 miles) between Pecos Road and Puye Road. The easement will consist of a 40-foot width or 20-foot centerline. The new 16” waterline will abandon the existing concrete cylinder pipe (CCP) and be replaced with 16” Ductile Iron (D.I.) pipe.

Alternatives

If the Amendment No.4 - TA-50 Waterline Relocation Easement is not approved, staff will be unable to continue with the construction to relocate the 16” water transmission line that currently passes through TA-50 parking area from the southeast heading northwest. The waterline will have to remain in its current location.

Fiscal and Staff Impact/Planned Item

This easement and the project will have no fiscal or staffing impact and is 100% funded by DOE.
