Recommended Action
I move that Council reappoint Matt Heavner and Georgia Strickfaden to fill two vacancies on the Transportation Board that will expire on February 28, 2025.
Body
The purpose of this item is to fill two vacancies on the Transportation Board. The applicants Matt Heavner and Georgia Strickfaden are seeking reappointment for a second term.
This seven-member board has staggered two-year terms beginning March 1 and ending February 28. The current Transportation Board Member Roster is shown on Attachment A.
The interview panel is recommending appointment of the following applicants:
Matt Heavner [D]
Georgia Strickfaden [DTS]
The nominees party affiliation has been verified with the Clerk's Office.
Mr. Heavner and Ms. Strickfaden were interviewed by an interview committee on February 2, 2023. The interview committee recommends appointing both applicants.
The interview committee consisted of the following:
Council Liaison: Keith Lepsch
Board Vice Chair: Michael Dolejsi
Public Works Deputy Director: Eric Martinez
Party affiliations are noted as [D] Democrat, [R] Republican, [I] Independent, [G] Green, [L] Libertarian, [DTS] Declined to State, and [N] Not Registered to Vote.
