Recommended Action
I move that Council approve Services Agreement No. AGR25-914 with Cummins Inc. for Generator Maintenance and Repair Services in an amount not to exceed $500,000 plus applicable gross receipts tax for the term of a five (5) years.
County Manager's Recommendation
The County Manager recommends that Council approve the motion as presented.
Body
To keep up with the continuing demands for maintaining numerous County assets, the services of qualified mechanical specialists are required to assist Public Works and Public Utilities staff with the regular inspection, preventative maintenance and repair of the County’s back-up generators as listed in the agreement (Attachment A, Exhibit A).

The procurement of generator maintenance and repair services complies with Section 31-3(b)(4) of the County Procurement Code as the contractor is a party to Contract No. 092222-CMM with Sourcewell. Sourcewell is a local government unit, public corporation and public agency authorized to establish competitively awarded cooperative purchasing contracts on behalf of participating agencies, which have competitively solicited a price agreement for Electrical Energy Power Generation Equipment with Related Parts, Supplies, and Services which meets the same standard and specifications as the services required by Los Alamos County.

The proposed term of the Services Agreement No. AGR25-914 shall commence upon Council approval and shall continue for a five-year period through June 10, 2030.
Alternatives
Council could choose to not approve this Agreement, and staff would then follow alternate procedures of the Procurement Code to seek generator maintenance and repair services, which would add time.
