Board Appointments for the newly established Community Development Advisory Board.
Recommended Action
I move to nominate Nancy Cerutti, Denise Derkacs, Anna Dillane, Cindy Hollabaugh, Jaime Kennedy, Catherine Ozment, Andrea Pistone, Daniel Seitz, Rose Stephens, Aaron D. Walker, Julie Walker, Laura Burrows, William Dai for the seven (7) vacancies on the newly established Community Development Advisory Board. I further move that Council appoint the nominees to the vacant positions by roll call vote. Each Councilor can vote for up to seven (7) nominees. The seven nominees with the highest vote counts of four or more will be appointed to one of two terms as determined by the County Council Chair: a partial term beginning August 15, 2018 and ending on August 14, 2019 or, a full term beginning on August 15, 2018 and ending on August 14, 2020.
**If Catherine Ozment is one of the seven nominees who receives the highest vote of four or more, Council will need to take a second action to acknowledge and approve concurrent membership on the Art in Public Places Advisory Board (Ms. Ozment’s current term on the Art in Public Places Advisory Board ends March 24, 2019), as follows:
I move Council acknowledge that Catherine Ozment intends to continue serving on the Art in Public Places Board while serving on the Community Development Advisory Board, Council finds these two positions not incompatible, Council approves of her serving concurrently on both boards, and hereby appoints Catherine Ozment to the Community Development Advisory Board.
